Better at Home Services
Better at Home program – services funded by BC Government to help older adults remain at home longer. These services can be subsidized on a sliding scale based on your annual household income.

1. Transportation to appointments – volunteer drivers pick you up at home and take you to your appointment, then return you home. A fee for gas applies. Rides can be purchased in advance or as a gift.
2. Grocery Shopping – a volunteer picks you up at home and takes you to the store of your choice or they can pick up a shopping list and shop for you. A fee for gas applies.
3. Light Housekeeping – a paid housekeeper will provide 2 hours of housecleaning on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Currently we cannot add any new clients for subsidy. However, we can put a person on a waitlist for when funds become available.
4. Friendly Visits – a trained volunteer will visit at your home on a weekly basis to reduce isolation and loneliness. Currently there is a wait list for Friendly Visitors.
