Top 10 Technology Things Seniors Should Embrace – 10:30am – 11:30am
The purpose of this presentation by Gluu Technology Society is to help you get tech savvy, so you are able to keep up with technology that will help you stay engaged, connected, mentally active, and physically safe. No devices are required for this event!

Hackers, Crackers, Ratters, & Trolls – 11:45am – 12:45pm
It sounds like a Grimms’ Fairy Tale, but in fact, those are names for the people who are trying to break into your online world, one door lock, webcam or email attachment at a time. This presentation by Gluu Technology Society will take a look at the latest online security threats, unpack what you need to be concerned about, and get a glimpse into the near future – where your fingerprint, heartbeat or eyeball are all that’s needed to access your online accounts.

The Age of Love Film & Presentation – It’s never too late to date!
2:00pm – 5:00pm
Join us for a movie afternoon! Door prizes, swag bags, popcorn , & refreshments included! This film addresses a way to break down barriers of social isolation and this event is to encourage new friendships (not necessarily the romantic kind). Seniors deserve to be seen as emotionally intricate individuals. The desire to love and be loved not only connects the hearts of young and old, but is also confounding, nerve-wracking and rewarding at any stage of life. ‘The Age of Love’ not only serves as entertainment, but also addresses our society’s most insidious preconceptions of aging. Purchase your tickets today at Langley Senior Centre (20605 51B Avenue) or by calling 604-530-3020. Tickets are $5.00.

Reflexology is a gentle touch for overall wellness, pain management of arthritis and other conditions such as constipation, fatigue, lethargy, cognitive disorders, stress, relaxation, improved balance and walking. Reflexology gives you the gift of human contact, which is important as it is often lacking in the latter years. The power of a gentle, positive touch, given with respect and care is highly valuable, having positive effects on the mental and emotional state and wellbeing.
