Becoming a Volunteer

Step 1: Apply

Complete our online application through BetterImpact:

Paper applications available at our Centre if preferred

Step 2: Interview

  • Meet with our volunteer coordinator
  • Discuss your interests and availability
  • Learn about specific opportunities
  • Ask questions about volunteering

Step 3: Screening

  • Complete a criminal record check
    • Online or at local RCMP office
    • Required for everyone’s safety
  • Provide references

Step 4: Orientation

  • Attend general orientation
  • Receive program-specific training
  • Review volunteer guidelines
  • Sign Code of Conduct
