BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are the heart of the Langley Seniors Centre. Become involved.

Can you give a few hours to become a volunteer?  We have many different and interesting volunteer opportunities available.  

Some areas volunteers are needed include:

• Drivers to take seniors to health care appointments
• Telephone buddies to make regular friendship calls
• Housing advice counsellors to assist seniors explore their options
• Special Event volunteers
• General volunteers for the dining room, greeter desk, maintenance, gardening

VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS

Complete an application form and return it via email or to the Senior’s Centre Front Desk. We interview all applicants and provide volunteer orientation and training programs. The Society is also a potential practicum site for students In programs such as Social Work, Nursing and Therapeutic Recreation.

DONATIONS

Support from Donor contributions to the Langley Senior Resources Society are very important to us. Some Individuals may choose to make monetary donations

to the Society on occasion or on a regular basis. Amounts large or small are appreciated and may be able to help reduce taxable income for the donor.

In Memoriam donations: When you, your family or your Friends have been served well by the Seniors Centre People will often express their appreciation to the Centre By making a donation in memory of a loved one.

Bequests: Have your thought about leaving an endowment to a charity in your will?  In the past such bequests to the Seniors Centre have helped with things such as a van purchase For the Adult Day Program and some much needed renovations.

LSRS Charity Golf Tournament

The 2nd Annual LSRS CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT will be held
Thursday June 7, 2012 @ Redwoods Golf Course

The tournament we hosted for 2011 in partnership with our Premier Sponsor, Envision Financial Services, and successfully raised over $20,000.00 for the Langley Senior Resources Society. With your help as sponsors and participants our GOAL FOR THE 2012 TOURNAMENT is to beat last year's total in support of sustaining our much needed Outreach Programs that serve over 1500 Langley Seniors during the year.
