Interactive Activities ~ Light Refreshments ~ Education (Dementia Training)
The Langley Senior Resources Society (LSRS) invites you to participate in a wonderful afternoon of getting to know fellow volunteers, education, and light refreshments! The afternoon will begin with some interactive activities (LSRS Trivia, ice breakers, and more!) led by our Reception Services Manager, Cecilia, and our Director of Outreach Services, Janice, with ample time for cookies, coffee, and tea. Then, Jackie will facilitate a discussion about the roles we can play in creating change, and Jackie from Home Instead will facilitate a workshop on dementia and how as a volunteer you can support someone who has dementia. We will end the afternoon by providing you with some community resources and information on upcoming events at the Centre!
There is no cost, but please pre-register at the Front Desk by October 18, 2017, so we know how many to expect! We look forward to seeing you there!
