Back by popular demand, tenor Tony Caruso and bass-baritone Brandon Thornhill return with special guests. The event promises to be an unforgettable evening of opera classics, Broadway favourites, lively Neapolitan tunes, and songs from the great American song book. Tony Caruso can be seen performing with the UBC opera ensemble where he is presently a Doctoral student in opera. Recent performances include the titular role of Faust in Gounod’s Faust with the UBC Opera Ensemble and the Vancouver Symphony and Alfredo in Verdi’s La Traviata with UBC and the European Music Academy on tour in the Czech Republic. Talented vocalist and local favorite Brandon Thornhill can be seen performing in and around the Vancouver area. Thornhill, a recent graduate of the UBC Opera masters program is also a member of a 9 piece funk and R&B band when he is not singing title roles on the Operatic stage. This duo brings a diverse and energetic performance to the stage with their powerful and soaring vocals. Be sure no to miss an opportunity to witness these rising stars in action.
